Controlling Anxiety
How can I control my anxiety?
I have Generalized Anxiety Disorder. Go to school every day is scary because it makes me very worried and concerned me very sick. I have medicine but I do not want to rely on it forever. How do I control this mind? How can I distract myself to be anxious?
I also have GAD. He started school secondary, but I really made later in my mid 20. It is a very frightening thing to go through panic attacks and not not sure if you will even be able to do through the day. Honestly, medicine was the best thing for me. I was started on Zoloft for depression that I only stayed for about a year. And I was also put on Xanax (alprazolam generic) for panic attacks, I still take today. But now that my anxiety is under control, I just take it, but Once every few weeks or so. He helped me all I know the rescue med if I need it for certain stressful situations such as speech, job interview, being in the wedding of my brother, etc. If you are willing to go completely off (kudos med you for that) but you can try changing your diet. Cut out caffeine because you feel nervous and cause more anxiety. In addition, you might consider counseling. And remember to exercise every day! Tennis got up my ass and feeling good again! Here is a great book my sister who really helped me – "The Anxiety & Phobia Workbook" by Dr. Edward Bourne. Who will give you good ideas on how to control anxiety naturally or with drugs. Believe me, things will improve if you are proactive in improving your health and it seems that exactly what you want to do. Good luck and God bless!
